Shelf Moves uses YouTube API Services to retrieve public video titles, channel names, thumbnails and reported views, likes and comment counts for links discovered in editorial sources. It does not request your Google login, access private analytics, post content, or collect comment text.
Shelf Moves sends discovered video identifiers to Google. On the hosted service, public video metadata is cached in Cloudflare D1 for up to 23 hours before refresh; expired entries are not displayed. Dated public view, like and comment counts are retained for up to 21 days to show recent history, separately from the editorial archive. Database recovery copies may retain replaced or deleted data for up to seven days on our current plan. Local development uses a memory-only cache. YouTube data is excluded from our editorial archive exports and AI inputs. YouTube players load only when you press Play video, using youtube-nocookie.com. Playback connects your browser to YouTube, which receives your IP address and may process device and playback information under its own privacy policy. No advertising or analytics scripts are added by Shelf Moves. Opening an external source takes you to that provider.
Your agreement is remembered in this browser's local storage and is not sent to Google. You can withdraw using Reset YouTube preference in a campaign panel. If browser storage is disabled, the choice lasts for this visit only. After agreement, video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers, which receive your IP address. Direct video links are always available and open YouTube. Resetting your preference stops these features in this browser; it does not delete the shared public-video cache.
Cloudflare hosts the site and processes connection details, including IP addresses and request information, to deliver and protect it. Our primary archive is stored in the United States; network delivery and processing may occur globally. We do not offer user accounts or add advertising or analytics scripts. Public editorial sources are processed with AI to produce campaign summaries, which may contain errors.
For support, corrections or deletion requests, email contact@shelfmoves.com. Messages are forwarded through Cloudflare to our support inbox. Include the relevant page or video link; do not send passwords or sensitive data. We use correspondence to handle your request. Removed cached video data may remain in recovery copies until the retention period ends.
